  We used Alexander funeral service's for my Father's cremation, and memorial. The memorial service was very nice, they placed all of our pictures and flowers appropriately and seemed very respectful. As we were exiting the funeral home my mother was called back in, I followed to make sure everything was okay. They had pulled her into a side room near the front door to sign some paperwork, this seemed very distasteful, as we couldve done this earlier or later, without everyone there. The man then picked up a big velvet bag, which I knew immediately was my Father's ashes.. I took them before my Mom knew what was going on. We were not made aware that we would be picking up his ashes that same day.
  It was an AWFUL feeling. It was handled with as much care as the purchase of a bag of feed from the supply store..I wouldnt have been so disturbed by this had I not just had my Son cremated,and it was handled much more delicately ( and privately! ).
  They also copied down his obituary incorrectly twice, and then published an incorrect version...I just feel like the very important things that they shouldve been able to handle seamlessly and gracefully, were handled very poorly, and made a horrible situation that much harder.
